Clinical Supervision

 Although River Stone Psychotherapy is now based in Ontario, I continue to offer clinical supervision virtually to clinicians in British Columbia. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Approved Clinical Supervisor (RCC-ACS) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, I bring 15 years of clinical practice, including leadership and supervisory roles within mental health organizations and specialized work with children, youth and families, into the supervision I offer. 

Clinical Supervision is a collaborative and often transformative process that not only sharpens clinical skills but also fosters a culture of accountability, ethical practice, and continuous improvement. Through this support system, counselors are empowered to navigate the complexities of their profession with confidence, integrity, while prioritising our commitment to the well-being of those we serve.

Hope is a guiding force in my work. I am steadfast in my belief in the potential for health and transformation. My mission is to guide and support counsellors in honing their skills in child and youth psychotherapy, ensuring that each interaction is imbued with empathy and professionalism.  As a clinician, I am person-centered recognizing the inherent worth and dignity of each individual. I strive to foster an environment where counsellors feel seen, heard, and valued.

 I provide supervision for Registered Clinical Counsellors and for clinical supervisors, including those consulting on their own supervisory practice or working toward their own ACS designation. At this time, I am not taking on new student supervisees, though I have supervised many students in the past and continue to value that stage of a clinician's development.
